stance on workplace Health & Safety
Health and Safety is a hot topic in New Zealand, with increasing statutory requirements for everyone associated with a project. We are well placed to embrace this change at Total Property Worx, with effective health and safety systems and continuous improvements to rise everybody to the next level up.
Total Property Worx, through our international, experienced H&S team, is absolutely committed to ensuring that everyone on and around our sites is safe. Our Health and safety policy who shows our values is reviewed every year to reach realistic objectives and keep this will of moving forward.
We specify our high expectations for health and safety right from our first contact with prospective subcontractors, and reinforce these on site for both our subs and staff with a comprehensive on-going programme of safety meetings and trainings, regular inspections, audits and reporting.
TPW is registered SiteWise (Green) and Rapid contractor and comply (not only) with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
On all our sites, the TPW minimum requirements apply, regardless of whether you are a TPW employee, a subcontractor, a manager, a visitor or a client:
- Sign in/out on every site
- Site Specific Safety Plan: complete the site induction and understand the hazards on site
- Hazard and incident reporting
For the tradies & subs:
- Assessment of the risks (sites and tasks concerned)
- Daily Pre-start Meetings
- Site inspections
- Site meetings and Toolbox meetings
TPW work with only qualified specialists in their field. We can be exposed to high risks so it is our duty to train our staff in these areas and be competent to complete these tasks safely.
TPW is involved in health monitoring for all our trades and maintain a “Drug, Alcohol, and Smoke-Free” workplace.
